چکیده
We consider the extension of momentum conservative staggered-grid (MCS) scheme for flow simulation in channels with varying depth and width. The is formulated using properties Saint-Venant equations. proposed was successful handling various steady flows achieved results that are complete accordance analytical solutions. Different choices boundary conditions have created solutions according to mass energy conservations. This assessment has served as a validation numerical scheme. Further, channel contraction nonuniform bed, we simulate two cases dam break. show good agreement existing experimental data. Moreover, our scheme, uses quasi-1-dimensional approach, shown some fair 2-dimensional results. evaluation demonstrates merits MCS simulations width bathymetry, suitable river modeling.

15 صفحه اولSimulation of a 2d Channel Flow around a Square Obstacle
Results for time-dependent, viscous, incompressible flows were investigated using the lattice-Boltzmann (BGK) automata. The decay of a synthetic turbulent flow field and the time evolution of an initial vortex were simulated for validation purposes. The focal point was the investigation of the instationary flow around a square obstacle in a twodimensional channel for a range of Reynolds numbers...
متن کاملpassivity in waiting for godot and endgame: a psychoanalytic reading
this study intends to investigate samuel beckett’s waiting for godot and endgame under the lacanian psychoanalysis. it begins by explaining the most important concepts of lacanian psychoanalysis. the beckettian characters are studied regarding their state of unconscious, and not the state of consciousness as is common in most beckett studies. according to lacan, language plays the sole role in ...
Anomalous Fourier’s Law and Long Range Correlations in a 1D Non-momentum Conserving Mechanical Model
We study by means of numerical simulations the velocity reversal model, a onedimensional mechanical model of heat transport introduced in 1985 by Ianiro and Lebowitz. Our numerical results indicate that this model, which does not conserve momentum, exhibits nevertheless an anomalous Fourier’s law similar to the ones previously observed in momentum-conserving models. This disagrees with what can...
متن کاملa study on rate making and required reserves determination in reinsurance market: a simulation
reinsurance is widely recognized as an important instrument in the capital management of an insurance company as well as its risk management tool. this thesis is intended to determine premium rates for different types of reinsurance policies. also, given the fact that the reinsurance coverage of every company depends upon its reserves, so different types of reserves and the method of their calc...
